Willow Lake
Willow Lake is a former gravel pit of some 6-7 acres that has been established as a specimen carp fishery since 1992.

- 7 anglers maximum on this lake
- £35.00 per night 1st March to 31st October
- £25.00 per night 1st November to 28th February
Willow Lake rules
- No under 18years old (guest or angler).
- All anglers must be off the lake by 10:00am on the day of departure.
- E.A. Rod Licences must be produced on request.
- Strictly no parking on the hard standing near the bungalow at any time.
- Strictly NO LITTER, please ensure your swim is CLEAR BEFORE commencing fishing. All litter must be taken home.
- No braided mainline.
- No Fires
- Barbless or micro barb hooks only.
- Minimum line strength 15 lbs.
- Carp Mats: For WILLOW Lake, Carp Cots ONLY or mats with sides. PLEASE NOTE: Beany mats will NOT be allowed.
- Strictly Dry mats, landing nets, tackle and bait boats upon arrival.
- Minimum landing net size 36 inches.
- No Peanuts or Tiger Nuts.
- No Sacking of carp.
- Bait boats are now allowed but please respect others and be sensible, a £50 fee will be charged if your Bait Boat needs recovering
- No lead core.
- No non angling guests unless by prior arrangement.
- No Dogs.
- No rods to be left unattended at ANY time and YOU MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 15 METRES FROM YOUR RODS AT ANY TIME.
- STRICTLY NO TAKE AWAY’S ORDERED AFTER 6.30pm AS ALL TAKE AWAY DELIVERIES TO BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO 7.00pm. Gates locked at 7.00pm.
- No vehicular access to swims on WILLOW LAKE DROVE BANK at any time.
- No spinner or lure fishing.
- No treble hooks.
- You may only fish from a designated swim (no stalking).
1992
Willow Lake is a former gravel pit of some 6-7 acres that has been established as a specimen carp fishery since 1992.
In recent years, the fish have grown steadily in weight and many anglers have smashed their personal bests at the venue. Much of the current stock (of around 150 carp) are derived from the original stocking in 1988 of 1-2lb fish. Today, around 80% are over 25lb with many upper twenties and 30-40 fish over 30lb, including four over 40lb. The present lake record stands at over 46lb.
Willow also holds Catfish to 116lb. With 3 catfish over 100lb, 10-15 between 80 and 100lb, there’s plenty of opportunity to break that personal best!.
